MyHealth@EU

Ensuring healthcare for the population is a very high priority in the EU. It is reassuring to know that anyone who falls ill or has an accident during a stay in another EU country is assured comprehensive health insurance cover there.
In the future, cross-border access to healthcare within the EU will be possible electronically - while maintaining the highest data protection standards.
The starting point will be the implementation of the ePrescription service. From 2025, EU citizens will be able to collect their electronically prescribed medicines from selected pharmacies in other EU countries, including Austria.
Subsequently, “MyHealth@EU” will enable patients to use electronic reports, the patient summary with essential medical information, and medical images across borders.
